WhatsApp has implemented in its latest beta version of Windows a feature that serves as a shortcut to start conversations with unknown contacts without having to previously save them on the device.

The company began implementing this functionality on iOS and Android terminals last July and has reached Windows computers with beta version 2.2342.6.0, now available for testers through the Microsoft Store.
With this functionality, it will not be necessary to add a contact manually to the phonebook, as shared on the WABetaInfo portal. This adds a simpler messaging experience, allowing you to contact an unknown person directly, and a more private one, as your established privacy settings also apply to the unknown contact.
To access this section, you only need to click on ‘New chat’ and access the ‘Phone number’ button. Then, an interface is displayed in which you must choose the country to which that telephone number belongs – to add the prefix – as well as the keyboard to dial it.
