PlayStation users report permanent suspension of their accounts for no apparent reason

Some users have reported that PlayStation has permanently blocked access to their accounts and games on the PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles, for no apparent reason and without any prior notice of this action.

The video game company has systems with which it can suspend player accounts on certain occasions when they do not comply with the PlayStation Network Terms of Service. For example, in circumstances where community codes of conduct with other users are not respected.

Likewise, as detailed on its support page, PlayStation only suspends access to PlayStation Network “in the case of the most serious breaches” of its policies.

However, some users have shared their complaints about the permanent suspension of their PlayStation accounts without prior notice and for no apparent reason.e, which prevents them from accessing the PlayStation Network platform and, therefore, the video games they have purchased on the service.

As affected users have pointed out through posts shared on Reddit and on to violations of the PlayStation Network Terms of Service and User Agreement.”

However, players have pointed out that this is a problem for Sony, as they assure that the company has no reason to suspend their accounts because they have not violated the Terms of Service. “They don’t tell me why my account was suspended at all. I don’t have any emails about it either,” noted one player.

Following this line, as another affected user has stated, after the termination of his account, he has not been able to file appeals, nor does he receive responses from the company regarding the suspension status. For its part, PlayStation has limited itself to advising the creation of a new account and has not shared information about it.
