Claw (claw, in English) is the name of the MSI’s first portable gaming devicealso the first of its kind to integrate Intel’s Ultra Core processors, which both companies presented this Tuesday within the framework of the CES 2024 fair.

The device has a screen 7 inches with 120Hz refresh rate and 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution. It runs Windows 11, the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor and a 53Wh battery.

It also comes with 16GB of dual-channel LPDDR5 RAM, one NVMe M.2 2230 SSD slot via PCIe Gen 4 x4, Intel Killer WiFi 7 BE1750 and Bluetooth v5.4 connectivity and a variety of ports, including a Thunderbolt 4.

MSI intends to “redefine the standards” of this type of devices, such as the Steam Deck, G Cloud by Logitech, Lenovo Legion Go or Asus ROG Ally. And to do this, it has opted for a design designed exclusively for players and technologies focused on “addressing the weak points of the market,” as indicated in a press release.

Thus, MSI proposes a portable gaming device with Intel’s XeSS technologywhich increases frames per second (fps) to offer an “immersive and fluid” gaming experience in triple A titles, regardless of genre.

To prevent overheating and maintain performance, The console uses Cooler Boost Hyperflow thermal technology, which redirects the airflow to cool the internal components, as detailed by MSI.

The design seeks an “optimal balance between grip and weight”, adapted to the natural contour of the users’ grip, so that it is comfortable and facilitates precise use. It also supports customization of keys and sensory control with frames.
