Nvidia presents the new GeForce RTX 40 SUPER video cards

Nvidia has introduced a new family of graphics units, the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series, designed for the most demanding games with capabilities powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and different solutions that use this technology to create more realistic avatars and remaster classic games.

The GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series includes the GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER models, and is built with the latest iteration of the Ada Lovelace architecture to deliver outstanding performance in advanced graphics such as ray tracing or in generative AI applications.

Precisely, these GPUs enable artificial intelligence capabilities with AI Tensors, which offer up to 836 AI TOPS. They also have NVIDIA TensorRT software, which reduces latency in inference applications, and DLSS technology powered by AI for immersion in video games.

“GeForce RTX SUPER cards support more than 500 RTX games and applications and will prepare users for the wave of generative AI applications coming to the PC,” said Nvidia Vice President of Global GeForce Marketing Matt Wuebbling in the framework of CES 2024.

The GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER GPU powers games with full ray tracing in 4K resolution. It will go on sale on January 31, starting at $999. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER (from $799), meanwhile, will arrive on January 24 to maximize gaming at super-high frame rates at 1440p and up to 4K, and the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER ($599) with DLSS 3 will be available starting January 17.

AI SOLUTIONS

The company has also introduced a suite of solutions such as Cloud Engine (ACE), which uses generative AI models to design digital avatars that “come to life,” whether running in the cloud or on-premises.

NVIDIA Picasso is a service that provides access to state-of-the-art, trained models and other tools so that companies can create and deploy their own models. Based on this, Getty Images’ iStock has announced a set of generative AI tools with which to create 4K images from text.

As explained by Nvidia, the new iStock service uses an AI model trained with licensed images from the Getty catalog.

For mod creators, also known as ‘modders’, Nvidia has confirmed that the RTX Remix service will be available at the end of the month, with which classic games can be remastered with technologies such as full time tracing or DLSS and AI tools generative.

Broadcasts through Twitch will also improve with the new function developed together with Nvidia and OBS, which will allow users to broadcast up to three simultaneous broadcasts to the platform, with different resolutions and qualities.
