WhatsApp will allow you to simultaneously listen to music shared with other users

WhatsApp has begun rolling out a feature that allows users to listen to music with other people simultaneously using the screen sharing option, which is already available for some beta testers of Android devices.

Screen sharing arrived on the platform developed by Meta in August last year and allows users to share with others what is displayed on their panel during video calls, such as a video or an application. This, through ‘Share’ button, Available on both desktop and mobile apps.

The firm began working on a new capability for this function, which allows users to listen to audio or music simultaneously during a video call, while the screen sharing option is activated, as WABetaInfo announced in December.

This portal has now discovered that WhatsApp has begun to implement this feature in the latest beta for Android 2.24.1.19, which can now be tested if you download this version through the Google Play Store.

To access this format, you must start a call and choose the screen sharing option. With this, the audio that is played on this user’s device will also reach the rest of the call participants or the other interlocutor, in the case of an individual chat.

From WABetaInfo they point out that, thanks to this function, participants can Synchronize your video playback experiences, when sharing video and audiowith which they can create a virtual session to watch movies.

Although this is a feature that only beta testers have access to, it is expected to reach more users with Android devices in the coming weeks.
