Samsung presented its Artificial Intelligence strategy at CES 2024: “AI must be safe and accessible to everyone”

“AI for everyone” was the message that Samsung raised when it arrived at the CESthe technological event that takes place from January 9 to 12 in the city of Las Vegas (United States), and in which Artificial Intelligence plays a leading role in 2024

Jong-Hee Han, CEO of Samsung Electronics, highlighted during his presentation that the company has been investing in the development of AI for a decade and that it is not something “new for them”, only that now “our investment in AI is showing their results.”

“AI is reshaping industries beyond technology and has the power to make our lives easier and more inclusive for everyone,” added Jonh-Hee Han and then showed the most notable innovations with AI in their products. From phones and computers to screens, household items, cars and services to improve people’s well-being.

In the case of televisions, the firm gave a lot of attention to the NQ8 AI Gen 3 processor, which has allowed them to develop options such as automatically improving low-resolution content to be able to enjoy old movies with the detail of current times. Also improve the sharpness of fast-moving images such as a football or basketball that is blurred due to the speed of the game. And a function that generates and converts text to audio subtitles in real time for people with low vision.

In terms of appliances, the Bespoke line will have models such as the 4-door refrigerator that incorporates an interior vision system with AI that allows the user to keep a record of their shopping list, receive alerts about the foods that are missing in the home, their expiration dates and even offer personalized recipes, based on the person’s dietary needs or the ingredients they currently have in their fridge.

During CES 2024, the company also announced new features developed as part of its partnership with Microsoft. Thus, starting in March of this year, Galaxy Book 4 and Galaxy phone users will be able to access Copilot, the virtual Artificial Intelligence assistant developed by Microsoft, which will allow, among other functions, to find, read and summarize text messages. , emails or presentations and also automatically create patterns (based on previous uses) to be able to write responses to send directly from the PC.

Samsun also highlighted his desire for all these possibilities with AI to reach more people and, at the same time, be safe for them. “AI must be safe and accessible to everyone. That is our goal at Samsung, to bring AI to millions of people in the world, to make it work for you and for everyone,” concluded Jong-Hee Han.
