Historic day for Apple: its ‘Vision Pro’ glasses are now in US stores

From the New York App Store, Tim Cook, the CEO of Manzanahas made official the launch of the Apple Vision Pro in the US market.

Cook announced his arrival at the store a day earlier through the following tweet: “Tomorrow morning, the Apple Vision will be here”.

Thus, Apple’s App Stores and online stores put mixed reality glasses on sale for a base price of $3,499.

Users interested in purchasing these devices in an App Store must watch a demonstration that lasts between 20 to 25 minutes and includes scanning their faces for an adaptation to the Vision Pro glasses headband.

In the case of online purchases, the user will have to purchase ZEISS optical inserts that cost $149.

According to El Español, the Apple Vision Pro package includes a Light Seal, a Light Seal Cushion and a Dual Loop Band. Additionally, the external battery comes along with a 30 W charger and USB-C to USB-C cable.

Among its main specifications, the Vision Pro has the operating system visionOS and use the M2 chip, the same one that Apple uses on its computers. They are also equipped with 12 cameras, five sensors and six microphones.

In an interview with ABC News, Tim Cook noted that these glasses are a ‘space computer’.

You know, the iPhone introduced us to the mobile computer. Mac introduced us to personal computers. This is the first space computer”.
