The new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip introduces the power of AI to mid-range mobile phones

Qualcomm has presented the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip, with which it will boost the artificial intelligence (AI) that runs on the mid-range device, which will come to the market from OnePlus, realme and Sharp.

The manufacturer recently introduced the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 processor, which brings together a select set of features to bring premium experiences to a larger audience. It supports models with up to 10 billion parameters, such as Llama2 from Meta and Gemini Nano from Google.

The intention to bring the AI ​​running on the device to lower ranges has materialized in the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, which also supports a wide variety of language models, including Llama 2, Gemini Nano Google and Baichuan of 7 billion parameters.

Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 use AI to improve performance and energy efficiency, and offers a set of Qualcomm’s own features to improve the performance of video games collected in Elite Gaming, as reported in a press release.

It also improves photography with the 18-bit image signal processor, and offers support for immersive headphone audio, with spatial audio and LE audio. The chip incorporates a Snapdragon X65 5G modem, FastConnect 7800 technology and support for WiFi 7 with High Band Simultaneous (HBS).

The first smartphones that will integrate Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 will reach the market from OnePlus, realme and Sharp.
