Apple confirms the date of WWDC 2024: everything we know about iOS 18, the latest update to the iPhone operating system

The developer event Manzana, WWDC 2024, already has a confirmed date: it will take place on June 10 (central date). Very important announcements will be made there, such as the presentation of iOS 18, which promises to be the biggest update to the iPhone operating system.

The conference will last several days, but it will be the initial keynote in which most of Apple’s software news is announced. In addition to the iOS update, improvements to iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and visionOS, the latter being the operating system for Apple’s virtual reality glasses, are also expected to be shown, and perhaps some surprise product, such as a new Mac mini and a new Mac Studio.

It is expected that iOS 18 will be one of the main novelties of the conference. The new version of the iPhone operating system promises big changes through new customization options, generative artificial intelligence functions and many other improvements, which will make it “the biggest system update in years.”

It is likely that we will see a new interface design for the brand’s phones, possibly similar to the style we see in the Vision Pro operating system.

There are rumors and leaks that suggest that the apple firm is betting on its own AI model, although it is also quite likely that they will adopt Gemini, Google’s generative model.
