Google has launched new artificial intelligence innovations at the Google Cloud Next ’24 event, aimed at businesses, developers and content creators. These improvements range from AI-optimized infrastructure to new features in Vertex AI, expanding its reach to more public and private organizations.
Among the new features presented, important advances related to the Gemini model stand out, as well as significant improvements in artificial intelligence aimed at both developers and end users.
New options were announced to access a variety of AI models, including Gemini 1.5 Pro with advanced capabilities. Also introduced was Image 2.0, which converts text to images in real time. Additionally, improvements were made to Vertex AI to customize natural language models with the organization’s own data, thus expanding the platform’s capabilities.

Likewise, Google Cloud presented new ways to improve infrastructure for artificial intelligence. They introduced AI Hypercomputer, a type of supercomputer that uses advanced technology to train AI models more efficiently. They also announced Google Axion, a new type of processor that offers better performance and uses less power.
Gemini for developers
Google Cloud AI now has new features that connect with Google Search and data from apps like Workday and Salesforce. This makes it easier to create applications. Plus, Gemini Code Assist and Gemini Cloud Assist, available as a trial, make it easier to write code and manage apps.
Gemini is also present in applications that are available in Latin America in preview, but only in English:
