In addition, the company has also shared its plans with intellectual properties, as stated in a press release. As far as video games go, it has included live-action adaptations of Horizon and God of War, and Uncharted will move into the area of location-based entertainment. The latter means that Sony will open facilities around the world to offer immersive experiences.

Likewise, Crunchyroll Games has published the mobile RPG Street Fighter: Duel, while the Gundam Metaverse experience has featured high-quality scanner technology to incorporate real objects converted into three-dimensional elements.

The visualization works in Gundam Metaverse are not an isolated case. Sony has also said that sensing and capturing, real-time 3D processing, artificial intelligence and machine learning are technologies that allow creators to “maximize the value of their intellectual property in an efficient and high-quality manner.”

For this reason, the company has assured that it is investing in the development of applications based on these technologies to develop solutions that help “deliver IP quickly and at low cost to a wider range of followers.”

These plans already use Epic Games technology for real-time 3D processing, and even in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 they used machine learning and original voice recognition software specialized in games to synchronize the subtitles with the dialogues in certain languages.

Sony also intends to develop an engagement platform based on the network infrastructure of PlayStation Network and Crunchyroll, with which it hopes to offer “new network services” in the future.
