LG Display will bring its transparent OLED shelf concept for home decor to CES 2022

LG Display will lead to the consumer electronics fair CES 2022 its solutions with transparent OLED screens, including the ‘OLED shelf’ concept, designed to match home décor.

‘OLED shelf’ combines two transparent OLED screens placed one on top of the other, with a shelf at the top, simulating that it hangs from a shelf on the wall. This solution has been designed to be part of home décor, as with the always-on screen you can display a television program or artwork.

The South Korean company’s Display division will also show ‘Shopping Managing Showcase’ in Las Vegas, another transparent OLED screen, in this case, placed inside a wooden stand.

This solution seeks to “reinvent the ‘offline’ shopping experience” by showing visual content, as the company explains in a statement.

Another proposal is ‘Show Window’, a showcase with four 55-inch transparent OLED screens, while ‘Smart Window’ has been designed for “the office of the future”, transforming conference room windows into screens for videoconferences or presentations.
