CES 2022: LG brings to the fair its solutions to improve the life of the user with technology

LG has held its main event this Monday during the CES 2022 fair, in which the South Korean company has focused on its latest solutions and advances with which it seeks to improve the lifestyle of users and bet on sustainability and the inclution.

Under the motto ‘The Better Life You Deserve’ (‘The better life you deserve’, in English), the CEO of the manufacturer, William Cho, has shown the innovations of the company scheduled for this year 2022, with the main objective of “ elevate all aspects of the user’s daily life through technological and design innovation ”, as LG has described in a statement.

Connected devices in the home have been the first of the pillars of the LG World Premiere event. The company has updated its ThinQ app with more functionality, while its entertainment solutions enable larger and larger screens.

Two examples of devices, which the company had previously announced at the fair, are the LG OLED evo Gallery Edition television or the StanbyME model, a mobile and wireless panel.

Other products featured in this edition that include these values ​​are LG PuriCare AeroTower, an all-in-one home air purification solution that works as a fan and heater, and LG tiiun, an indoor gardening device that offers a way to grow vegetables. throughout the year.

SUSTAINABILITY AND INCLUSION

LG has also recalled in the framework of CES its commitment to minimize the environmental impact of its processes and make the company more sustainable.

As part of this commitment, it has examples such as the energy saving innovations and the transparent ‘knock knock’ door that make up InstaView refrigerators, the recycled materials used in the packaging of the latest LG sound bars and the reduction of components plastics on LG OLED TVs.

Starting this year, LG plans to use more than 600,000 tons of recycled plastic in its manufacturing processes and increase e-waste recovery to eight million tons by 2030.

In order to also improve inclusion, LG is committed to creating Accessibility Advisory Councils in different international markets.

Each council will be made up of accessibility experts and professionals with a disability, to advise LG on creating devices that include functionalities that create a more inclusive user experience, such as adapted voice commands or system packaging labeling. Braille.

FUTURE PLANS

LG has shown its concepts for future-oriented technology ideas at CES 2022, such as the CLOi door-to-door delivery robot powered by artificial intelligence that the company wants to introduce to the market soon.

Another concept featured in this video is LG OMNIPOD, a new mobility solution that blurs the distinction between home and car and extends the automotive solutions featured at LG’s previous Connected Car at CES 2020.

Designed to function as a home office, an entertainment center or even a living room, LG OMNIPOD “offers infinite possibilities inside a car”, depending on the brand, oriented to the future of remote work without the need to do it from home.
