CES 2022: Samsung’s The Freestyle, projector, speaker and ambient lighting device in one device

The new The Freestyle by Samsung, announced this Wednesday within the framework of the fair CES 2022, is a lightweight and portable projector designed to display image size up to 100 inches on any surface.

The Freestyle is a projector, smart speaker, and ambient lighting fixture all in one portable device that weighs less than a kilo. The support on which it sits rotates up to 180 degrees.

This machine has automatic leveling and keystone correction functions, by which it adjusts your screen to any surface at any angle. In addition, the autofocus function enables a clear image to be displayed on any surface, at any angle, and up to 100 inches in size.

The Freestyle also features a dual passive ‘woofer’ for distortion-free bass and 360-degree sound output. It is compatible with external batteries that support USB-PD and an output of 50W / 20V or higher.

When not used as a projector to cast content, The Freestyle also provides an ambient lighting effect with its ambient mode and translucent lens cap. It is also a smart speaker that analyzes music to combine visual effects that can be projected onto the wall or floor.

The company has highlighted that this projector includes SmartTV functions and far-field voice control, allowing you to choose between different voice assistants when used hands-free.
