Sue Gray report on Downing Street parties during lockdowns points to ‘leadership failures’

An internal investigation into a total of 16 parties held during lockdowns by coronavirus of 2020 and 2021 in Downing Street on Monday denounced “failures of leadership and judgement” in the offices of the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.

“There were failures of leadership and judgment by different parties in Downing Street and in the Cabinet Office at different times. Some events should not have been allowed.”concluded the senior official Sue Gray in a report delivered to Johnson, who must respond to it in less than an hour before Parliament.
