The Police also continue with the investigations to find those responsible for the death of another person, Jaime Guerrero Messoussioutside a nightclub in the central street of Atocha, where last Saturday a party for children under 16 was held. He was attacked by eight young men with knives, who hit him with a machete in the chest.

“I always avoided trouble”

According to the newspaper El Mundo, Jaime Guerrero Messousi died on the spot when he was with a group of friends from the Trinitarios gang who had allegedly had a confrontation with eight young people from another Latino gang, the DDP.. Police investigations indicate that Jaime was not involved in the fight, but he was unable to escape and was surrounded by several youths, one of whom fatally wounded him.

According to El Mundo, the police have the recordings of a security camera outside the Independance nightclub to find the perpetrators of the crime. In the video the minor is seen accompanied by another person walking towards Paseo del Prado when he is attacked by a corpulent boy followed by other young men. According to the first investigations, the alleged perpetrator of the murder stabbed the teenager with a large machete without saying a word, says El Mundo.

According to his relatives, Jaime Guerrero did not belong to any gang and the night he died he had gone out with some friends on Saturday afternoon when he was caught in a fight between two groups.

Jaime Guerrero belonged to the Móstoles Sports Club. The team’s coach notified the president of the event on Sunday morning. “It has been a blow. How could a boy like that die walking down Atocha at ten at night? He lived in Vallecas, but had signed with us this year. He was a great left-back”, said Alfredo González, president of Club Deportivo Móstoles.

El Mundo maintains that last Saturday Jaime Guerrero played his last game at Móstoles. “It is an inexplicable death, he always avoided trouble, I have never seen him get into any trouble. He was a sporty boy and if he went out with his friends, he would always come home early”, indicated one of the Móstoles players. Another of his companions said that it was hard for him to believe that they had killed him for going Atocha and getting into a fight between gang members: “No one understands what has happened. We are devastated and he was a guy with no problems and to the best of our knowledge he wasn’t in any bands.”

Another attack in Madrid

Another 17-year-old boy was seriously injured in the neighborhood of monte carmelowhen a group of minors listening to music and drinking was attacked by ten youths also with machetes.

According to sources from the Madrid Police Headquarters, the attacks are a coincidence in time, and there is no rebound in the activity of these youth gangs, a problem that, in any case, always worries the security forces.

In fact, the Police launched the Hispanic operation last December to intensify the work against youth gangs.

The result, for the moment, is more than a thousand identified, more than a hundred arrested and the intervention of numerous weapons.

Now that operation is going to be redesigned to see where the police intervention has to be intensified, although greater vigilance and involvement on the part of parents and educators are demanded so that minors do not integrate into these groups.
