A new subject of tension in perspective between Paris and Tehran. Arrested in May 2020, a Frenchman is still detained in Iran without explanation, recognized the French Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, confirmation of information from the Point.
“He enjoys consular protection (…), consular visits have been made to him and regular contacts are maintained with him by our embassy in Tehran”, according to the ministry, while a researcher with dual French and Iranian nationality, Fariba Adelkhah, has been detained in Iran since June 2019.
