Ottawa police said on Saturday they used “chemical substances” to dislodge several hundred “aggressive” truckers who are still blocking the city, after more than three weeks of protest against health measures.
“The protesters continue to be aggressive and to attack the officers”, have tweeted the authorities. “They refuse to obey orders to move,” they say, adding that they used “chemical substances” against them.
The police also said they arrested 47 people and towed around 30 vehicles.
