UN calls for ‘safe corridors’ to bring aid to Ukraine combat zones

The ONU “it needs safe corridors to bring humanitarian aid to the zones of hostilities” on UkraineUnited Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Martin Griffiths told the Security Council on Monday.

“Civilians in places like Mariupol, Kharkiv, Melitopol and other parts desperately need help, including vital medical supplies.”he added during an emergency meeting of the Council dedicated to the humanitarian crisis caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
