In Greece, about fifteen tents were destroyed on Monday by a fire in a refugee camp on the island of Samos, announced the Greek Ministry of Migration. The fire broke out for undetermined reasons in the early hours of the morning, forcing the intervention of about twenty firefighters who brought the incident under control in a few hours.

The island hit by an earthquake

No injuries were recorded, said the Greek authorities, according to which some 4,200 people are sheltered in the camp of Samos. Last September, two arson attacks had already affected the site.

In addition, the island located in the south of the Aegean Sea was shaken Friday by an earthquake that killed two people. This powerful earthquake also hit the city of Izmir, Turkey, where more than 100 people were killed.
