Pregnant and injured Ukrainian blogger in Mariupol gives birth to a girl

Ukrainian blogger Mariana Vishegirskaya, 26, who became famous after being photographed leaving the bombed-out hospital in the city of Mariupol in an advanced state of pregnancy, gave birth to a girl on Thursday night, the Ukrainian ambassador said. Ukraine at the UN, Sergiy Kyslytsya.

The Russian ambassador was answered by his Ukrainian colleague, who showed the first photos of the newborn baby on his tablet. “(Mariana) had a very healthy girl last night, her name is Veronika, here she is with her father”, he told the Council diplomats.
