Russia bombs a military base in Lviv, near Poland, leaving at least 35 dead and more than 130 wounded

There are already 35 dead and 134 wounded in the attack by the Army of Russia tonight to the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security, a military installation located in the west of the country near the border with Poland and where foreign instructors work.

“Sadly, we lost more heroes: 35 people died as a result of the bombing of the peacekeeping and security center. Another 134 are found with varying degrees of injuries and are in hospital.” announced on his Telegram account, Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the state administration in the city of Lviv, close to the place of the attack.

Tonight the Russians “fired rockets at the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security in the Lviv (Lviv) region”recalled the politician.

The air attack was carried out from the Black Sea and the Azov Sea. The planes took off from Saratov airport. In total, the occupants fired more than 30 missiles,” Kozytskyi specified.

He said, however, that the “Ukrainian air defense system worked. We shot down some of the missiles in the air” and reiterated his call to “NATO governments: NATO, close the sky over Ukraine! Close the sky over Ukraine or give us military planes!”

According to their data, at 12:00 local time (10:00 GMT) this Sunday, almost all the fires that had been declared in the military facility had been extinguished, while explosives technicians and other specialists are inspecting the area, dismantling most of the debris.

The Russian Army, which began the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, it had concentrated its objectives in the east and south of the country as well as the surroundings of the city of Kiev.

For several days, the attacks have also affected areas in the west of the country, near the borders with Poland and Moldova, the points most used by Ukrainians who want to seek refuge in the European Union.
