Russian influencers cry after the blocking of Instagram in their country

Instagram was included in the list of websites with “restricted access” in Russiaafter the government of President Vladimir Putin decided to suspend its access throughout the territory.

After this blockade, many people raised their voices in protest and were sad and outraged by the Government’s decision.

The 36-year-old woman ended her video by saying she was “going to go and keep crying.” The clip had racked up more than 700,000 views as of Monday.

According to the news channel Nexta TV, another influencer from Instagram he lamented the blocking and noted that he was in the “first stage of grieving” over the ban.

“Do you think that for me, as an Instagram influencer, this is a source of income?” she said in Russian in a video shared by the channel. “For me, it’s a lifetime. It is the soul. It’s the only thing I wake up to, I fall asleep for five years straight,” she exclaimed.

Other Russian influencers pointed out their decision to migrate to platforms such as Telegram or VK and asked their fans to follow them to continue interacting as they have been doing.

“Instagram no longer exists,” Valeria Chekalina wrote in her Instagram bio. The young woman is pregnant and has 10.5 million followers.
