‘Treacherous invasion’: Russian soldiers captured in Ukraine apologize

Ukrainian forces managed to capture a group of enemy soldiers, who publicly apologized for their crimes. In turn, they described the Russian president’s invasion orders, Vladimir Putinas a “terrible mistake”.

“I apologize for myself, for my squad in every home, on every street, in every citizen of Ukrainein the elderly, in the women, in the children for our invasion of these lands”lamented Galkin Sergey Alekseevich, one of the Russian soldiers, 34, during a press conference published by Ukrinform TV and collected by the British media The Sun.

Likewise, along with other detained soldiers, Alekseevich addressed his generals as traitors, accusing them of having sent inexperienced troops to premature death in Ukraineusing them as cannon fodder.

“I seriously apologize for our treacherous invasion. To the generals of our military units, I would like to say one thing: that they have acted cowardly, that they have acted treacherously with us”, he exclaimed.

We are meat, we are being killed by planes and artillery bombing peaceful cities”said a soldier.

I would like to say to all the regiments of the Russian army: lay down your arms”, Alekseevich added, before addressing the president of his country: “And Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin stop further combat actions. Stop bombing, stop sending soldiers here to kill civilians, to carry out air strikes.”

Maxim Chernikof the Russian 16th Motorized Rifle Brigade, said he felt horrible after realizing the mistake they were making.

Just understanding that this all has to be fixed, relationships have to be improved somehow.” said.

“This will take more than a year. It will take decades, perhaps centuries. I just don’t want to exist after all this after what’s going on here.”lament.

After the capture of these invading soldiers, some doubts arose as to whether Ukraine was respecting the treaties of the Geneva Conventions, which ensure the protection of prisoners of war.

According to article 13, collected by the New York Post, “Prisoners of war must be protected at all times, in particular against acts of violence or intimidation and against insults and public curiosity. Retaliatory measures against prisoners of war are prohibited..
