Child testifies against his mother who tried to kill him: “She told me to sleep, that it was just a dream”

A case in which a mother tried to kill her 11-year-old son while he was sleeping has dismayed the inhabitants of Madrid, Spain.

The woman was taken to the psychiatric unit of the Hospital 12 de Octubre and remained in police custody.

What the mother answers

The authorities are now asking for a sentence of 18 years in prison for the woman. This for being charged with the crime of attempted murder.

However, both her lawyer and the Prosecutor’s Office ask that she be permanently admitted to a psychiatric hospital.

In addition to the custodial sentence, the Prosecutor’s Office demands compensation from the woman of 100 euros for the injuries to the minor and another 10,000 euros for the moral damages generated.
