She witnesses the murder of her colleague during a video conference

A woman and a man were found dead on Monday in a home in Altadena (United States) after help was warned by a remote witness. A woman was indeed participating in a Zoom video conference with one of the two victims when the attack took place, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office reported in a statement the same day.

Police intervened on suspicion of an ongoing kidnapping. Officers found the woman’s body inside the home and the man’s body in the driveway leading to the house. The two victims were stabbed. Officials discovered that a car usually parked on site was missing. An individual subsequently arrived at the scene driving the missing vehicle.

An incarcerated suspect

The latter belonged to one of the two dead. The 32-year-old man explained that he lived in the accommodation. He was taken into custody and charged with two murders. The link between the suspect and the two deceased has not been specified. The identity of the victims was also not disclosed. Cited by NBC Los Angeles, the police, however, said that they were both in their sixties.

“The man was inside the house,” said Lieutenant Barry Hall. The woman was still talking on Zoom when the man was forcibly removed from the house. She realized it. The suspect then entered and attacked her ”.
