CIA director tests positive for COVID-19 after meeting with Joe Biden

The director of the INCWilliam Burns, has tested positive for the COVID-19The agency said in a statement released on Thursday. It is known that Burns held a meeting with the president of United States, Joe Bidenon the eve of the announcement.

The statement adds that Burns is exhibiting mild symptoms and is working from home. He plans to return to the office within five days if the test comes back negative. The director has received all shots and boosters.

Burns met with President Joe Biden on Wednesday morning, wearing an N.95 mask. The CIA said the encounter did not constitute close contact according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines. The CIA did not disclose the content of the meeting.
