Biden asks to try Putin for war crimes for the Bucha massacre: “This guy is brutal”

The president of United States, Joe Bidensaid on Monday that his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putinshould be tried for war crimes due to the alleged massacre committed by Russian troops in the Ukrainian town of Bucha.

“We have to get all the details so that there can be a trial for war crimes“, said Biden in statements to the press upon arriving at the White House from the state of Delaware.

The Ukrainian authorities have reported the discovery of more than 400 bodies in the streets of Bucha, which according to the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmitro Kuleba, “is the worst massacre in Europe since World War II.”

That town in northern Ukraine, near kyiv, was besieged by Russian troops for weeks and, after their withdrawal, hundreds of bodies were discovered in its streets, some with their hands tied behind their backs, as reporters on the ground have documented. of international media.

The human rights organization Human Rights Watch (HRW) claimed to have indications that the Russian Army has committed possible war crimes in the areas under its control, including summary executions of civilians.

The Russian Government has categorically rejected the participation of its soldiers in these alleged massacres, including that of Bucha.
