The human rights organization Human Rights Watch (HRW) claimed to have indications that the Russian Army has committed possible war crimes in the areas under its control, including summary executions of civilians.

The Russian Government has categorically rejected the participation of its soldiers in these alleged massacres, including that of Bucha.
