Zelensky addresses the Security Council tomorrow after his visit to Bucha

the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskywill address the UN Security Council tomorrow, which is holding a new session on the war in his country, in which he will present the results of his visit today to the town of Bucha.

The appearance of Zelensky was communicated by the representation of the United Kingdom (current president of the Council) in the UN, in a tweet in which he said that tomorrow’s session will serve to “make sure the truth about Russian war crimes is heard.”

Sight: Horror and outrage in the world for the Bucha massacre and Putin’s attitude

In Bucha there are suspicions that Russian soldiers killed dozens of civilians in cold blood before their withdrawal, although Russia has denied this and accuses the Ukrainian government of the massacre in order to hold its enemies accountable.

Russia’s representation at the UN tried unsuccessfully to hold a Council meeting today, Monday, but faced with the opposition of the British presidency, Russian Ambassador Vasili Nebenzia announced that he intends to present tomorrow “tests” that would show that the Russian soldiers did not commit these crimes.

What’s more, Nebenzia said that the images of handcuffed corpses, mass graves and civilians murdered in cold blood are “a montage”.
