France has delivered more than 100 million euros of military equipment

More than one hundred million euros of military equipment has been delivered by France to Ukraine, announced Wednesday April 13 Florence Parly, French Minister for the Armed Forces, after meeting with her Ukrainian counterpart Oleksiy Reznikov. “I announced to my counterpart that France will provide additional military capabilities, in addition to the one hundred million euros in equipment donations already made,” said the minister in a tweet published the same day.

Florence Parly specifies that the deliveries concern “means of protection, optronic equipment, armaments and ammunition, weapon systems meeting the needs expressed by Ukraine”. So far, Paris had not quantified the amount of armaments delivered to kyiv since the start of the Russian invasion at the end of February. This amount is in addition to the additional 500 million euros that the European Union released last Thursday for military equipment, bringing the effort to 1.5 billion euros since the start of the conflict.

“France is determined to help Ukraine”

“As the conflict continues, France is preparing with its partners to provide Ukraine with long-term military support, supported by the mobilization of our defense industries,” the ministry statement said. “It is a question of collectively mobilizing equipment adapted to Ukrainian needs and organizing ourselves to coordinate, with our allies and partners, our assistance in terms of training and support specific to this equipment”, he specified. “France is determined to help Ukraine resist this aggression and create the conditions for a just and lasting peace. »
