The arrest was confirmed to Telegram by former Russian dissident deputy, now in exile, Ilya Ponomarev. The man was identified as Roman Bykovsky, 27, from Borel, Russia, and his wife, Olga.

How was the investigation?

After the talk was revealed, investigative journalists from Radio Liberty were able to identify them as Roman Bykovsky, 27-year-old member of the Russian armed forces and his wife Olga Bykovskaya, although her maiden name is Pinyasovaya.

According to what was published, the two young people were born and raised in Oryol, a Russian city located about 350 kilometers southwest of Moscow. Radio Liberty contacted Bykovsky, who confirmed his identity and although he clarified that he was in Sevastopol, the Crimean port where Russia has its base on the Black Sea, He denied being the man on the call.

Meanwhile, when consulted by the European media, the young woman also confirmed that her husband was in Sebastopol and said that He was injured and hospitalized.. However, when questioned by the audio, she preferred not to answer.

The couple reportedly moved to the Russian-occupied peninsula of Crimea around 2018, and have a 4-year-old son.
