Due to Ukrainian resistance during the first phase of the conflict, Russia decided to withdraw its troops to the east to now intensify the attacks in this area. In this context, Wallace believes that the Russian president will now declare war on the Nazis, thus trying to convince public opinion for another attempt on Ukraine.

“I would not be surprised if you declare this alert that Russia is now at war with the Nazis of the world and needs a massive mobilization of the Russian population”has said Wallace in an interview for the British broadcaster LBC.

Previously, at the beginning of April, the secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, Oleksei Danilov, warned of the possibility of a new Russian offensive for May 9, since it is a “sacred” day for Moscow.

“Putin has set out to end this war with a victory parade,” Danilov warned almost a month ago, who already at that time asked the population not to celebrate the withdrawal of Russian troops, announced at that time.
