The Israeli army this week carried out a major military exercise with warplanes in the Mediterranean and warships in the Red Sea.

According to the Israeli press, the maneuvers simulated a major attack against Iran, especially against nuclear centers.

Questioned Thursday by AFP, the Israeli army did not comment on this information, but confirmed that “continually prepares and trains to deal with various scenarios, including threats from Iran”.

During his interview with Grossi, the Israeli prime minister also called for a firmer attitude from the international community towards Iran, and to use “All the means” to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

Israel, considered by experts to be the only nuclear power in the Middle East, perceives Iran’s nuclear program as a threat to its security, which it accuses of wanting to equip itself with the atomic bomb, which Tehran has always denied.
