In a message on Facebook, Zelensky writes that the fundraising platform United24, an initiative created by the president to collect donations in support of Ukraine, has launched a campaign to raise funds for “the world’s first Ukrainian naval drone fleet.”
“We have to defend the waters of our peaceful seas and cities from Russian ship-launched missiles. Naval drones will also help unlock the corridor for civilian ships transporting grain to the world.”he underlined.
He expressed his conviction “That millions of people will support this important area of Ukraine’s defense.”
“Everyone has already seen how it works. And this is only for our protection, we do not claim what is not ours. Unite”, tohe added.

According to the Ukrinform agency, the goal is to provide this fleet with a hundred unmanned boats and those responsible for the fundraising campaign aspire to raise enough money for the first ten in a single day.
The naval drone is a “unique and confidential Ukrainian development” and the cost of one unit of these devices amounts to ten million hryvnias (about 263,000 euros), the platform specifies.
The cost includes the naval drone equipped with an autopilot system, video subsystems (including night vision), a special communication module protected from enemy electronic warfare, reserve communication modules and combat functionality, as well as a control station autonomous on land, transportation, storage system and data processing center, precise fundraising platform.
