Joe Biden and Xi Jinping meet in Bali to guide the bilateral relationship between the US and China

According to those sources, Biden arrives at the meeting with the firm objective of establishing communication channels with Xi to avoid misunderstandings and establish “clear rules of the road” that prevent competition between Beijing and Washington from leading to conflict.

The White House expects the meeting to last about two hours.. Biden has said he wants to discuss human rights in China and tensions over the South China Sea and Taiwan, a Washington ally that Beijing considers a rogue province, with Xi.

Biden arrived in Bali last night to participate in the G20, which takes place from November 15 to 16.
