A federal judge ordered this Wednesday prison without bail for the alleged perpetrator of the shooting four days ago in USA, Anderson-Lee Aldrichsuspected of the attack against an LGBT club in Coloradowhere five people died and more than 25 were injured.

Aldrich, 22, appeared before Magistrate Charlotte Ankeny, of the 4th District Court, in El Paso County (Colorado), virtually from the prison where he is being held.

He appeared in an apparently torpid state, seated on a bench with his head tilted to the right, and answered the judge’s questions almost inaudibly.

In addition to denying bail, Ankeny asked prosecutors to share with defense lawyers the details of the arrest warrant against Aldrich, on which the summary secrecy still weighs.

The charges against the detainee are expected to be formally presented at the next hearing, set for December 6.

The federal prosecutor Michael Allen indicated after the session on Wednesday that the defendant is expected to appear in person before the court in the next session.

Preliminary charges against Aldrich include five for first-degree murder and five for hate crime, US media reported.

Before today’s hearing, her defense filed a court document stating that her client identifies as a non-binary person who uses the neuter pronoun “elle”.

The shooting took place on Saturday night in the municipality of Colorado Springs in a place for adults called Club Q, with performances of “drag queen”.

The assailant began shooting at people as soon as he entered and was reduced by at least two of those present, one of whom was injured.
