So far no damage or injuries have been reported in the incident.

According to the local press, the arrested uniformed men are three Druze soldiers, which raises the suspicion that the incident is related to the case of teenager Tiran Fero, a resident of a Druze village whose body was seized last week by Palestinian militiamen from a hospital in west bank occupied, after dying in a car accident.

The militiamen thought that he was an undercover soldier infiltrated in west banksince Druze usually do military service in Israel, but he was a high school student who came into the area with a friend to repair a problem with his car.

This event provoked strong protests in the Druze community, before the body was returned.

“If the suspicion that the soldiers threw a bomb at a house in Bethlehem, as revenge for the kidnapping of the body of the deceased, proves true, it would be a serious incident that requires justice,” Defense Minister Benny Gantz said on Twitter.

“The Israel Defense Forces do not resort to violence, the soldiers do not take justice into their own hands and do not carry out acts of revenge,” added.

As Israel prepares to welcome the most right-wing government in its history, with anti-Arab extremist Itamar Ben Gvir as future Homeland Security Minister advocating greater use of force against Palestinians in west bank occupied, several incidents of abuse of power by Israeli soldiers have emerged.

Last week, a uniformed man was filmed knocking down and punching an Israeli activist in the face in the West Bank city of Hebron. In another video, a soldier is seen telling the activists: “Ben-Gvir will bring order here. You have lost it. Everything they do here is over.”

Violence between Israelis and Palestinians is experiencing its most violent year since 2006. So far in 2022, 148 Palestinians have been killed in violent incidents in west bank and Israel. On the Israeli side, 29 people have died.
