Zelensky threatens a “powerful countermeasure” to Russian offensive operations in Donetsk

The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyhas announced this Wednesday a “powerful” countermeasure to Russian offensive operations in Donetsk and other regions.

“We are analyzing the intentions of the occupiers and we are preparing a countermeasure, an even more powerful countermeasure than now,” has affirmed in his habitual nocturnal speech.

Russian troops are advancing southwest of the strategic city of Bakhmut, the epicenter of a fierce battle in the eastern Donetsk region, while trying to gain a foothold in neighboring Lugansk, where the Ukrainian army is holding out and has already liberated 13 towns.

According to Zelenskyon the front the main “problems” occur both in the Donetsk region and in the Lugansk, Kharkov, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Crimea and “front-line territories”.

“We considered the issue of providing the military and the supply of new equipment and ammunition,” has explained.

The Ukrainian president has also referred to Ukraine’s energy problems and the measures that are being adopted.
