The airport of the Russian region of Kursk, on the border with Ukrainesuffered a drone attack this morning, reported the local governor, Román Starovoit.
“As a result of the drone attack, the oil storage tank at the aerodrome caught fire,” Starovoit wrote on Telegram.

The governor added that there are no injuries as a result of the event.
“The fire is localized”he pointed.

the airport of kursk was closed to civil aviation on February 24, the day of the start of the Russian military campaign in Ukraine.
Russia yesterday accused Kiev of having attacked with drones the military airfields of Ryazan and Saratov, Russian strategic aviation bases located hundreds of kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
The attack left three dead and four wounded, as confirmed by Defense.
Last August Ukraine carried out a series of attacks against military bases in Crimea, including the Saki airfield.
