Daniel Ortega shows his solidarity with Cristina Kirchner after being sentenced

The Nicaraguan President, Daniel Ortegaexpressed this Wednesday his solidarity with the Argentine vice president, Cristina Kirchnerafter his conviction for corruption.

“Our solidarity in all struggles and always beyond, unyielding, lucid, formidable and profound spirituality”, wrote ortega in a message published in official Nicaraguan media.

Kirchnerwho was also president of Argentina between 2007 and 2015, was sentenced this Tuesday to six years in prison and perpetual disqualification from holding public office.

The Argentine vice president was considered criminally responsible for the crime of fraudulent administration of public funds in the concession of works in Santa Cruz (South), political cradle of Kirchnerism.

After knowing the sentence, Kirchner He attributed his conviction to a “parastatal judicial mafia” and announced that he will not be a candidate for any position in the 2023 elections.

In his message, the former Sandinista guerrilla praised Fernández.

“To you, with admiration, respect and affection, in these difficult moments, when your courage and that of your people show themselves once again, defiant and capable of transcending the miseries, and of growing, even more, in the historical dimension that He has made them, and he makes them great”added the Nicaraguan president.
