Óscar Maúrtua: Peruvian ambassador to Spain resigns due to Castillo’s “coup”

Maurtuain a letter addressed to the Minister of State in the office of Foreign Relations, César Landa, affirms that “after the coup d’état that took place on that date” he informs him of his “irrevocable resignation from the position of ambassador of Peru in Spain, Andorra and before the World Tourism Organization (ILO), in accordance with my democratic convictions and respect for the rule of law”.

The resignation of the Peruvian ambassador in Spain joins the resignations of the Peruvian ambassadors to the Organization of American States (OAS), the UN and the United States.
