DeSantis asks to investigate any suspected irregularities with COVID-19 vaccines in Florida

The Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantisrequested this Tuesday in a letter to the Supreme Court of Florida to appoint a state grand jury to “investigate any and all wrongdoing in Florida regarding vaccines against covid-19″.

DeSantis, who consulted his petition with the state attorney general, Ashley Moodywaits for the grand jury to purge “legal responsibilities” of those who may be responsible for “misconduct”.

The rising Republican governor of Florida, who is emerging as a candidate for the 2024 presidential election, has been insistent on expressing his concern about the side effects of coronavirus vaccines and has been critical of the vaccination requirements demanded by some employers. .

In the 20-page document, DeSantis, 44, cited the “widespread belief that Covid-19 vaccines prevented the disease from spreading,” something that “The president of the United States (Biden) himself believed it was true.”

(Biden) “tried to impose a variety of vaccination requirements on the American people, including healthcare workers and members of the military, that were based on the notion that “unvaccinated people spread the virus.”

In this context, DeSantis, very distant from the health policy of the US Government, mentions the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States and the chief epidemiologist of the Government, Anthony Fauci.

Even the White House held a press conference in 2021 “Threatening the unvaccinated with a winter of serious illness and death,” add writing.

“It is impossible to imagine that so many influential individuals came to that point of view on their own. Rather, it is likely that individuals and companies with an incentive to do so created these perceptions for financial gain.” stressed.

DeSantis said the state will create a Public Health Integrity Committee to “offer a critical appraisal” of the recommendations and policies of the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other organizations.

The document indicates that in April 2021, “More cases of myocarditis and pericarditis have been reported in people in the United States after receiving the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.”

Therefore, the Florida Department of Health conducted its own analysis to study the “mortality risk” after vaccination with messenger RNA (mRNA) technology and “found an increase in the relative incidence of heart-related deaths among men aged 18 to 39” within 28 days after vaccination.

“Reports from other countries also indicate that there is a connection between vaccines against covid-19 and cardiovascular events, including death,” add the document.

The Florida grand jury examination will aim at, among other things, “identify any deficiencies in current laws, implement methods” and “investigate crimes” and actions that involve or result in “fraud or deception of any person” related to coronavirus vaccines.

Florida accumulates 7.2 million cases of covid-19 since March 2020, the highest number in the US after California (11.6 million) and Texas (8.1 million), according to official figures.

Deaths have reached 83,201 since March 2020, of which 660 occurred in the last 28 days, when 54,418 new cases have been reported in Florida.
