He fought bullying: the young man without an arm who made his own prosthesis with Lego pieces

David Aguilar Amphoux is a 23-year-old young man who was born in Andorra la Vella. Due to Poland syndrome, he has a stump in his right arm, which was unable to fully develop. At the age of six he suffered from bullying, but later he ended up facing the people who bullied him using a prosthesis that he built himself with Lego pieces. His life has changed since then. This is your exciting history.

“pu** one-armed”was an everyday insult that David received when he was just a child, according to elDiario.es. Eventually, at the age of 17, he was able to shut up those who made him feel bad thanks to the prosthesis he made and called ‘MK’, but it was very rudimentary. “The grip bothered me, it was not strong and the clamp did not work very well”counted.

Look: What was the Second Reich, the imperial and semi-democratic State that some ultra groups in Germany yearn for

And it is that at that time he was barely nine years old and had not been based on plans or anything. It was all the product of his creativity. “I started to build on the go with what I had: a Lego helicopter”he asserted.

Today, he continues to use prosthetics that he designs on his own. Of course, he has been improving them over time to make them stronger and more comfortable. He has even added mechanical components to it.

His tremendous ability made him win a Guinness Record, as he came to turn his passion for construction toys into a tool to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities.

When he built the ‘MK 5’ the design had evolved quite a bit in relation to the first prosthesis he made. It is there that his alias ‘Han Solo’ was also ‘born’, which he uses both in Youtube (Han Solo) like in instagram (@hansolo99).

On those platforms, he shares everything he does. Although he doesn’t like social networks, he has them to show people that he is a successful functional adult: in addition to the Guinness Record, he has a collaboration with NASA to send his designs into space, a documentary and a book about his life, always according to the aforementioned source.

“I can do everything”says David, who also assembles military aircraft from more than 2,000 pieces. “The only thing that scared me was not being able to play Play, but I’m very good”accurate.

David found a way to help himself, but thanks to social networks he has also been able to help other people, one of them is little Beknur, a Kazakh boy who was born without arms and deformed legs. The minor’s mother saw the work of the protagonist of this story and contacted him to help her son.

David, according to a viral video posted on Youtube through the channel Guinness World Recordscame to create a prosthesis. “He understood immediately and put it on himself. Soon she was already playing ball ”he stated. “She has gone from not being able to move to being able to be moderately independent in her personal space”he added, being very happy for the child.

He knows very well that people can be very cruel to those with disabilities. “A person very close to me came to tell me that it was not my fault that I was born like this, that it was my mother’s. I threw snow in his mouth.”he remembered. That was, according to her, the only time she used violence to respond to someone. “I want to be an example and help people get out of the black hole of bullying”he pointed.
