The United States advises migrants not to cross the border due to extreme cold

Extremely low temperatures are forecast for the next few days on the border of USA with Mexicowarned this Thursday the Customs and Border Protection (CBP)which advised migrants not to try to cross the dividing line to avoid tragedies.

“Extremely cold temperatures, below freezing, are expected along the border of Mexico and the United States during the next week. Do not risk your life or the lives of your loved ones trying to cross the Rio Grande River or the desert. Stay home or in a safe shelter and avoid a tragedy.”CBP posted on Twitter.

The warning comes as much of the United States braces for a winter storm. “once in a generation” as described by the National Weather Service (NWS).
