Andrew Tate was arrested 24 hours after he posted a video of himself eating pizza and trolling Greta Thunberg.

The misogynistic social media personality was arrested along with his brother as part of a long-running human trafficking investigation in Romania.

The timing of the raid on his property has led to speculation that the video may have played a role in the police operation.

In a video released Wednesday night, the ex-kickboxer ranted about the teen climate activist as he smoked a cigar.

During the video, Tate can be seen receiving two boxes from the Jerry’s Pizza chain, with prominent Romanian lettering on them.

It has sparked speculation that police may have used the mail to confirm his whereabouts prior to his arrest.

Tate has been under investigation since April because of his activities in Romania, where he moved five years ago.

He was filmed being led out of a property by several masked police officers after what appeared to be a carefully planned operation.

Prosecutors in Romania confirmed his arrest in a statement to Reuters news agency.

It read: “The four suspects … appear to have formed an organized crime group whose purpose is to recruit, harbor and exploit women by forcing them to create pornographic content that can be viewed on specialized websites for a fee. “

A spokesman told Der Spiegel he could not provide further details, but confirmed the arrest.

He said: “However, Andrew and Tristan Tate have the utmost respect for the Romanian authorities and will always help and support where they can.”

The 36-year-old was widely mocked this week for starting a bizarre feud with Greta Thunberg.

He wrote on Twitter: “I have 33 cars. My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L Quad Turbo. My TWO Ferrari 812 Competitives have 6.5L v12s. This is just the beginning.

“Please include your email address so I can send you a full list of my car collection and their respective massive emissions.”

She replied “yes, please inform me. email me at smalld**[email protected]”

The tweet became one of the most popular of all time with over 3.2 million likes.
