Colombia: the painful story of a mother, children and granddaughter killed in the accident in Huila

This is Josefina Melenge Ámbito, 87 years old, and their sons Heder and Hermes Medina Melenge, 54 and 51, as well as Samara Nawel Hurtado Medina, daughter of Heder and granddaughter of the lady. The 3 adults died inside the bus and the girl was taken to the Thessaly hospital but she died due to the severity of the blows and injuries to her body.

Germán Triviño, relative of the victims, indicated that the 4 relatives They took the bus in the urban area of ​​La Plata and their plan was to spend the day in Neiva.“For the family it is a very hard, painful blow, they came to Neiva with my aunt Josefina for a medical appointment and to visit us at home,” he said.

“They have private vehicles, but they decided to go out by bus to meet the medical appointment,” he said, and asked the drivers “not to play with people’s lives because the cause of the accident, according to the first indications, is that there was an invasion of lane”.

His aunt Josefina lived in La Plata, while Heder Medina, together with the girl Samara Nawel, He lived in the city of Cali where he works as a journalist on a digital page.

“Heder came to Huila with his daughter to visit his mother Josefina, he brought with him a camera that was shattered by the crash,” he said.

The remaining victims were identified as José Stiven Ramos Trochez, 19; Jose Santiago Ferro Meneses, 22; Edison Moreno Buriticá, 37, and Orlando Monge Cardozo, 59, a teacher at the San Andrés Agricultural Microenterprise Educational Institution, in the municipality of Inzá, Cauca. The bus driver, Gilver Liévano Sánchez, 47, also died.

D1 stores said in a statement that “deeply regrets the accident after the collision of a passenger transport company Coomotor against one of our trucks.”
