Kirill remembered that Russia It has powerful weapons and is populated by “very strong people, who always had great motivation for victory.”

According to the orthodox hierarch, “some insane” think that Russia it can be defeated or modified, which means imposing on its inhabitants new moral norms “that are impossible to define as values”.

“These are worrying times, but we believe that the Lord will not abandon the Russian land,” he pointed.

Kirill expressed the hope that “Russia will have the strength to defend its lands and its people in case of need.”. And may God not allow the situation to escalate to that point, may he reassure and pacify everyone and help them work together for a better world”.

“This should be obvious to anyone. Even for a Western politician who has retained at least some trace of intelligence, ”she insisted.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said this in no way contradicts Russian military doctrine, which does not provide for preemptive strikes, but does authorize the use of atomic weapons in the event of an existential threat to the state.
