Germany authorized delivery of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraineannounced this Wednesday the spokesman of the German government, Seffen Hebestreit.
Germany will deliver to Ukraine 14 Leopard 2A6 tanks from its army reserves, and will allow European countries that wish to supply kyiv with the armored vehicles they have.

The 2A6 model is more recent and perfected than the 2A4 that Poland and Finland want to deliver.
“The goal is to quickly assemble two battalions of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine”, Said the German spokesman after the council of ministers held this Wednesday.
At the same time, training of Ukrainian forces in the use of these tanks “will start soon in Germany”the spokesman added.
The package agreed after intense negotiations with the allies of Ukraine includes logistic support, ammunition and maintenance of these main battle tanks.
