Russia says it thwarted Western arms deliveries to Ukraine in latest mass attack

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Friday that it frustrated a delivery of Western weapons to the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the massive attack on targets in that country, carried out the day before.

“As a result of the attack, the supply of arms and ammunition to the combat zones was frustrated, including those sent by NATO countries”said the military spokesman, Igor Konashenkov, during the daily report.

It added that the attack also led to the suspension of work at a Ukrainian Army military equipment repair facility.

“All the targets of the massive attack were hit”according to Defense.

Russia launched between Wednesday night and Thursday morning 24 kamikaze drones and 55 missiles against Ukraineshortly after Germany agreed to supply its Leopard 2s to kyiv and allow other countries to do the same and the United States announced the shipment of 31 Abrams tanks.

According to Ukrainian sources, at least 11 people were killed in successive Russian attacks in kyiv and other parts of the country.
