Ukraine estimates that Russia has launched almost 5,000 missiles on its territory since the start of the war

The Russian Army has launched on Ukraine Since the invasion of the country began, which will be one year old tomorrow, there have been almost 5,000 missiles, Oleksii Hromov, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported on Thursday.

In statements collected by local agencies, the military official added that the Russians have launched some 3,500 air strikes on Ukrainian soil this year.

“In general, since the beginning of the large-scale Russian armed aggression, the Russian occupation forces they have launched almost 5,000 missiles and almost 3,500 air strikes on the territory of Ukraine,” Hromov specified.

The military also highlighted that the Ukrainians have also suffered during the invasion a total of 1,100 attacks with unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).

He said, “due to the lack of high-precision missiles in their arsenal, Russian forces use Kh-22 anti-ship cruise missiles, so-called ‘carrier killers,’ to destroy Ukrainian civilian infrastructure.”

Only during this month of February the Ukrainian forces shot down 6 planes, 2 helicopters, 80 cruise missiles and 84 UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) of the Russians.
